Terri Ellis, ISA CAPP

Terri Ellis, ISA CAPP, has been an appraiser since 1991. After graduating from the University of Texas with a BA in Spanish and French, she worked for the US government in various capacities doing computer programming, and didn't find her true calling in the appraisal world until she became interested in old quilts and textiles and took appraisal courses from the American Quilters Society. This led to starting an estate liquidation business, course work from the International Society of Appraisers, and eventually her certification as a personal property appraiser in 2001. She is also USPAP qualified. She is a member of the North Texas Chapter of the ISA, and has served this chapter in various capacities, including 2 terms as president. In 2009 she received the Ellen Amirkhan Award for her service to NTISA. As a member of ISA, she has served as Chair of the Chapter Studies Committee, and is currently the Chair of the Ethics Committee. She is the owner of Mistletoe Estate Sales and Appraisals in Fort Worth, Texas, which she has operated since 1992. Her specialty is quilts and textiles, although she is a general personal property appraiser.
