Joyce Newman, ISA CAPP
Joyce Newman ISA CAPP is an International Society of Appraisers Certified Appraiser.
She is the owner of Newman Appraisal Services, LLC, a full-service personal property appraisal firm specializing in the appraisal of antiques and residential contents and fine art.
Ms. Newman attended the Pennsylvania State University and is a graduate of the University of Nevada Reno. She is also a graduate of the International Society of Appraisers’ Core Course in Appraisal Studies and its studies in the Appraisal of Fine Art, the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Antiques and Residential Contents, and has completed courses in Japanese prints, silver appraisals and expert witness preparation.
She is secretary of the International Society of Appraisers Fine Art Committee and serves on the Nevada Museum of Art’s Collections Committee.
Joyce is a Reno Gazette Journal and Galena Times columnist and received the International Society of Appraisers’ Media Award.
Mrs. Newman is former president of Western Industrial Nevada, former chair of the KNBP Channel 5 Public Broadcasting station board, a former member of the Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce board of directors and a former member of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada board of directors.
