Corinne Cain first began her practice as an appraiser in 1975. In May 1980, she formed Corinne Cain & Associates, incorporating in May 1982 to become Corinne Cain, Ltd., a nationally recognized firm affording expert appraisal and consulting services on Fine Art and Native American Art.

Ms. Cain is only the second Arizonan to be admitted as a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers in Fine Arts and the fifteenth individual internationally to earn a second designation. She wrote the examination for appraising Native American Art in 1987, rewriting it along with Maryann L'Heureux in 1993.

Since 1987, Ms. Cain has served on the International Board of Examiners of the American Society of Appraisers. In 1992 she became a Certified Appraiser of Personal Property, tested in the specialty of Limited Edition Prints. She was elected to the prestigious national ASA Personal Property Committee from June 1993 to June 1996. In 1999 she helped construct the new Fine Arts exams for the American Society of Appraisers.

Ms. Cain's background in art includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting & Drawing) and a unique double Masters in Fine Arts (Arts Administration) and Business Administration (Finance) from Southern Methodist University. Ms. Cain has completed additional postgraduate work in art history at Arizona State University.

Ms. Cain's background also includes extensive study in museums throughout Great Britain, Europe and the Russian Bloc countries. She was the original director of Gallery 10, Inc. of Scottsdale, known for museum-quality Native American art. Her appraisal apprenticeship took place at Valley House Gallery in Dallas, Texas, a gallery specializing in nineteenth and twentieth century paintings, drawings and sculpture. While in graduate school, she developed a marketing campaign for Sotheby's New York.

She is listed as a qualified appraiser for the Southwest Region's Source List for the Internal Revenue Service and for the Resolution Trust Corporation. Ms. Cain has served as an expert witness in court and provides professional consultation to both individuals and to corporations.

She currently serves as Co-Curator to the Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold (formerly Phelps Dodge) collection. For over fifteen years, Ms. Cain has functioned as curator of the AP Fenderson as well as the QV Distributors Collection of primarily Native American art. The year 2000 marked her first year as a member of the prestigious national women's art group known as Art Table.
